Consideration 2 – Peer

A PARABLE

ADD PEERS TO CARDS

Edit your cards which currently show only Abilities. For Abilities, add the Peers you support with that Ability. For example, our Player likes to cook for her son Adili. She also likes to cook for others, so she writes “Adili+.” Her card might now look like this:

If you think of a Peer who is important to you that does not fit on an Abilities card, no problem. Create a new card with just the Peer and a question mark for the Ability you use to support them. Like this:

In our example, the Player has a dear friend Valerie who she sees almost every day. The specific skill is not clear, so the Player just creates a holding place card for her friend Valerie.

You should have a nice, small, collection of cards to use now! As you go about your day, notice pedestrian walkways. When you do, recall Mr. Utomo’s advice about the importance of connections with other people, who in this game we call Peers.

Listen and Relax:

If you listened, when you play your Cards, you can play the Relax Into Senses Card.

PLAY YOUR CARDS:

When you play your cads, you organize them for those tasks you did today, and you start counting the number of times you play a card over the course of a week. When you used an Ability for a Peer today, play your cards in a way that looks like this:

In our example, the Player cooked a dessert today that she shared with her friend Valerie. Because she did, she can play the Cooking card. She had only worked on her language learning assignment for Professor Gregson yesterday, so she does not add to the count for that card for today.

Notice the card with only Valerie’s name on it was not played. We play on Abilities used to support others, the realm of action. There is no goal for the numbers on the cards, there is only noticing how many times we became interested in that Role this week.

Let’s learn more tomorrow.
